Probably, today your security icon turned green, trying to make you see Microsoft prepared updates for your Windows gadget. Ironically or not, Microsoft rolls updates, just one week ahead the official launch of Windows 8.

Fresh Security Updates For Windows
The current updated is dedicated to Windows 7 and older systems, so you should accept it. There are rumors that Windows 8 is so weak and instable, that Microsoft will have to update during its first week of life. A couple of weeks ago, Paul Otellini, Intel CEO said that Windows 8 wasn’t truly ready for release, claiming that it might yet include bugs. Microsoft hurried and thought of an update for the newest operating system, improving battery life and fixing media playback. The company calls it the Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 General Availability Cumulative Update, and you will find it on recently purchased gadgets, eligible for upgrading to Windows 8 or alreay having the operating system installed.
Microsoft today patched 20 vulnerabilities in Word, Office, Windows, SharePoint Server, SQL Server and other products in its portfolio. The biggest headache was Word, starting with the 2003 version and its additional features: Word Viewer and Office Web Apps, the free online editions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. It seems that there were two bugs in Word that could be exploited, if users simply viewed a malformed RTF document in Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010.
